Pauline P. (Cartier) Boudreau, 91, Former AT&T, Bell Labs Employee

BoudreauPauline P. (Cartier) Boudreau, 91, of Haverhill, and a former resident of Plum Island, died Oct. 7, at Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Arel) Cartier, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School. As a young woman, Boudreau worked in local bow shops. She was later employed at Western Electric, AT&T Technologies and Bell Labs where she worked as an order analyst until she retired after 32 years of service. Following her retirement, Boudreau was a winter time resident of Surprise, Ariz., for several years.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former St. Joseph Parish, she was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Communications Workers of America Local 1366. She was a member of the St. Joseph Bowling League and enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing cards,and ceramics. She also loved dancing at the Citizens Center in Haverhill.

She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Boudreau, and is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James T. and Donna Boudreau of Seabrook, N.H., and Paul F. and Michelle Boudreau of Novota, Calif.; two grandchildren, Michelle Joubert of Haverhill, and Francis X. Boudreau of Superior, Colo.; a brother, Robert L. Cartier of West Haven, Conn.; two sisters, Aurea DiProfio and Jeannette Barlow both of Haverhill; four great grandchildren, Lindsay and Shawn Joubert, and Olivia and Malea Boudreau; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Armand R. Cartier, and her sisters, Lydia Allard and Sister Rose Alpha.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, Oct. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral begins Tuesday at 9 a.m., from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
