Police Charge Man with Drunk Driving After Hit and Run Crash

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on drunk driving and other motor vehicle charges after his arrest Monday night in connection with an alleged hit and run crash.

Anthony Olbrot, 63, of 41 Brockton Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:19 p.m., Monday, at 50 Portland St. He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor (second offense), driving under the influence of drugs (second offense), leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Two Haverhill residents face unrelated theft charges in court following separate arrests on warrants by police Monday.

Anthony Sylvester, 34, of 1 Fairfield St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 1:59 p.m., Monday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under a warrant, he was charged with felony breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny over $250 and larceny over $250 by false instrument.

Later, at 5:41 p.m., police arrested Kimberly Arrigo, 35, of 6 Rose St., Haverhill, at home on a warrant charging her with larceny over $250, two counts of credit card fraud under $250 and receiving a stolen credit card.

Two other Haverhill residents are due in court following unrelated warrant arrests by Haverhill police.

According to police, Justin Curtis, 19, of 84 Harrison St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 4:30 p.m., Monday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard, on a warrant for assault and battery.

Tina Sheltz, 45, off 136 Winter St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:30 p.m., Monday, on Vine Street. Under a warrant, she was charged with improper operation of a motor vehicle.
