Joseph L. Kimball, 82, Veteran of the Korean War

joseph_kimballJoseph L. Kimball, 82, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 in the Wingate at Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, April 19, 1933, he was the son of the late Theodore R. and Dorothy L. (Alexander) Kimball. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

Kimball was employed for Mahoney & Sons Contractors for many years. He was also a well known Haverhill cab driver. His enjoyed attending stock car racing at Pine Speedway and Star Speedway.

He is survived by his eight children, Byron B. Kimball and his wife, Ann Marie of Rochester, N.H., Christine L. Burnes and her husband, Richard of Derry, N.H., Joseph P. Kimball and his wife, Cindy of Londonderry, N.H., Carleton A. Kimball of N.C., Kim R. Gonyer and her husband, Lee of Raymond, N.H., Lin A. Jones and her husband, Chester of Plant City, Fla. and Michael A. Kimball and Theodore J. Kimball both of Haverhill; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his son, Charles A. “Chuck” Kimball, two brothers, Charles T. and Arthur F. Kimball and two sisters, Muriel L. DiCenzo and Dorothy E. Kimball.

Visiting hours are Tuesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Av., Haverhill from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment with military honors will be held in the Hillside Cemetery.
