Three Face Charges Related to Theft, Resisting Arrest

Three people were to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on theft charges stemming from a Haverhill police investigation early Wednesday morning.

Damien Willette, 20, of Methuen, was arrested first at 6:03 a.m., Wednesday, on Maxwell Street and charged with larceny from a person, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Less than 30 minutes later, Elijah Declet, 18, of 631 River St., Haverhill and Genisis Moreno, 18, of Lawrence, were also taken into custody on Maxwell Street. Each was charged with larceny from a person. Moreno was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

In other police news, four Haverhill men are the latest to be arrested separately Wednesday during an ongoing warrant sweep by Haverhill police.

Michael McAnistan, 34, of 15 Saint Botolph St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 10:12 a.m., Wednesday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under a warrant, he was charged with assault and battery on a household member and witness intimidation.

Later, at 6:45 p.m., Tyler Quarrell, 20, of 31 Race St., Haverhill, was arrested at 59 Washington St. on a warrant charging him with assault and battery.

Also, Roberto Estrada-Alfaro, 51, of 93 White St., Haverhill, was arrested at 8:10 p.m., Wednesday, at 73 White St on a warrant charging him with a “miscellaneous statutory” offense.

And Michael Walsh, 23, of 461 Washington St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 11:34 p.m., Wednesday, at 503 River St. Under a warrant, he was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of drugs, speeding and an inspection sticker violation.
