Police Arrest Haverhill Man, 22, on Weapons-Related Charges

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on multiple firearms-related charges following a Haverhill police investigation which lead to his arrest Monday afternoon.

Justin Weldy, 22, of 44 Pilling St., Haverhill, was arrested at 3:28 p.m., Monday, at home. He was charged with two counts of possession of a large capacity weapon, possession of a firearm without an identification card, unlicensed possession of ammunition and a weapons storage violation.

In other police news:

A Haverhill man was due to appear in district court on burglary charges following his arrest by Haverhill police on a warrant. According to police, Christopher Bailey, 46, of 77 Summer St., Haverhill, was arrested at 12:56 p.m., Monday, on Emerson Street. Under the warrant, he was charged with felony breaking and entering in the daytime and larceny from a building.

A Haverhill woman was due in court to face charges related to a disturbance Monday morning. Haverhill police report Qurtimiya Bonds, 37, of 15 Megans Way, Haverhill, was arrested at 10:41 a.m., Monday, on Main Street. She was charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and violation of a municipal bylaw or ordinance.

Michael Moulton, 46, 70 Franklin St., Haverhill, warrants: destruction of property, felony breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny under $250, possession of burglarious instrument, 17 Beacon St., 10:14 p.m.

Michael Case, 53, 16 South Pleasant St., Haverhill, operating under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, 741 South Main St., 8:23 p.m.

Timothy Coco, 30, 165 South Pleasant St., Haverhill, warrant: reckless operation of motor vehicle, passing violation, failure to stop for police, 40 Bailey Boulevard, 4:04 p.m. Coco is not related to WHAV’s general manager.
