Haverhill Man Faces Charges After Alleged Hit and Run Crash

A Haverhill motorist, charged by police Thursday in connection with an alleged hit and run crash, is also due to be arraigned on various charges stemming from an outstanding warrant.

Haverhill police report William Mottram, 57, of 84 Madison St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2:22 p.m., Thursday, on Main Street. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving with a suspended license. He was also taken into custody on a warrant charging him with misdemeanor breaking and entering and an abuse prevention order violation.

In other police news, three Haverhill residents are the latest to face various, unrelated charges in district court as the result of an ongoing warrant sweep Thursday by Haverhill police.

John Farley, 53, of 145 Essex St., Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant at 4:13 p.m., Thursday, at 78 Lafayette Square. Under the warrant, he was charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, witness intimidation, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Later, at 5:23 p.m., police arrested Daniel Cruz Rivera, 46, of 11 Pentucket St., Haverhill, on a warrant charging him with two counts of distribution of a class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. The arrest occurred at 39 Vine St.

Also, Wayne Duong, 26, of 26 Standish Road, Haverhill, was taken into custody on several warrants at 3:24 p.m., Thursday, at home. Under the warrants, he faces charges of unarmed robbery, two counts of driving with a suspended license and a marked lanes violation.
