Melissa Riley, 36, Battled Drug Addiction, Worked as CNA

Melissa_RileyMelissa Riley, 36, of Kingston, N.H., passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, after a long battle with drug addiction.

She was born in Haverhill, Dec. 15, 1978, daughter of Dennis and Kathleen (Smith) Riley. She was educated in the Sanborn school system and graduated from Sanborn High School. She furthered her education and earned her certified nurses aid certificate. Riley was employed as a CNA at Harbor Side Health Care, Amesbury, and also at Country Manor, Newburyport. In her free time she enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with her family, especially her two sons Devon and Jacob Busch. She was also an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed camping.

She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Kathleen Riley of Kingston, N.H.; children, Devon and Jacob Busch; brother Paul Riley; sister Jennifer Riley; uncles and aunts, Michael and Charlotte Riley of Sweden, Maine, and Sharyn and Joe Callery of Plum Island; as well as many friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Sept. 17 from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill . Her funeral service follows calling hours at noon. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
