Groveland Police, FBI Seek Help Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

Police are looking for clues as to the identity of this man.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 5-foot-11, weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

Groveland police and a Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) task force seek the public’s help to identify a suspect in the robbery of a TD Bank branch Sunday morning in Groveland.

According to Groveland Police Chief Robert J. Kirmelewicz, a man walked into the TD Bank on Main Street, Groveland, at 11:37a.m., Sunday, handed a note to a teller claiming he was armed with a gun and a knife and demanding money. The suspect fled southbound on School Street, route 97, toward Georgetown with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured.

Investigators have released surveillance photos of the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 5-foot-11, weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap with white letters and a white brim, a black hooded raincoat, blue jeans, sunglasses and black and white tennis shoes.
