Haverhill Man Faces Rape Charge Following Wednesday Arrest

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on a charge of rape following his arrest by Haverhill police Wednesday on a warrant.

Donnie Frazier, 57, of 80 Blossom St., was taken into custody at 2:20 p.m., Wednesday, at home. Under the warrant, he was charged with one count of rape. Further details were unavailable by deadline.

In other police news:

Two people, including a woman listed by police as homeless, are due in court to face various, unrelated theft charges following separate arrests by police Wednesday.

Haverhill police report Cory Walker, 27, of 7 Tenth Ave., Haverhill, was arrested on a warrant at 12:57 p.m., Wednesday, at home. He was charged with larceny under $250, larceny by check over $250, uttering a false check and larceny over $250 by false check.

Later, at 2:56 p.m., Erica Fanaras, 33, prior address of 106 Presidential Drive, Haverhill, was taken into custody on a warrant at Haverhill police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under the warrant, she was charged with larceny under $250, larceny of a credit card and uttering a false instrument.

A Haverhill woman, arrested Wednesday on an outstanding warrant charging her with witness intimidation and possession of a class C drug, is due to appear in court. Tonya Scheller, 42, of 130 Broadway, Haverhill, was taken into custody at 12:21 p.m., Wednesday, at home.

Also, a Haverhill man was arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday evening on a charge of driving with a suspended license. Haverhill police report Ronald Coppinger, 30, of 57 Cedar St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:08 p.m., Wednesday, on Cedar Street.
