Police Make Heroin Drug Trafficking Arrests Tuesday Afternoon

Two Haverhill residents are due to be arraigned in district court on drug trafficking charges following their arrests Tuesday afternoon in connection with an investigation by Haverhill police detectives.

According to police, Bianca Diaz, 21 and Michael Rivera, 21, both of 4 High St., Haverhill, were arrested at 2:58 p.m., Tuesday, on Apple Street, near Hilldale Avenue. Each is charged with trafficking heroin/morphine/opium, possession of classes B and D drugs with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

In other police news:

A Derry, N.H. man was due in Haverhill District Court Tuesday to face a charge of destruction of property following his arrest by police. Haverhill police report Andrew Roy, 21, of Derry, was arrested at 9:29 a.m., Tuesday, at 76 Summer St.

Four people were taken into custody Tuesday evening on outstanding warrants.

Nathan Johnson, 32, of 68 Hamilton Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 8:37 p.m., Tuesday, at home on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.

Later, at about 9:45 p.m., Melissa Diaz, 22, of 104 Colby St., Haverhill and Ryan Wilkinson, 29, of Methuen, were both taken into custody on unspecified warrants on Emerson Street.

Also, William Crowley, 28, of Newburyport, was arrested at 6:27 p.m., Tuesday, at 229 Lincoln Ave. Specific charges under a warrant were not listed by police.
