Haverhill Public Library Friends Gear Up for Fall Book Sale

Friends of the Haverhill Public Library is gearing up for the group’s fall book sale, starting at the end of the month.

Preview night begins Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 6:30. The cost to attend the kick-off fundraising night is $20 per person, plus the cost of books. The sale continues Thursday, Oct. 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with books selling from .25 to $1; Friday, Oct. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with books selling at $3 a bag; and Saturday, Oct. 3, and Monday, Oct. 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., $5 a bag.

Friends of the Haverhill Public Library, founded in 1956, is a not profit organization, helping to raise money for the library. Its Friends Gift Shop, established in 1989, sells various gifts all year long. It has more than 350 members and contributes more than $30,000 to the library each year.
