Peyser, Walker to Address ‘Access to Education’ Sept. 21

Two top Baker administration officials will join Northern Essex Community College President Lane Glenn and others at an Andover conference on “preparing for a skilled, educated workforce.”

Massachusetts Secretary of Education James Peyser and Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Ronald L. Walker II are the featured speakers at Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce (MVCC)’s “Access To Education And Workforce Development Conference,” from 7:30 until 9:15 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21, at Wyndham Andover Hotel, 123 Old River Road, Andover. Glenn will be among those on a panel of local educators and businesses, according to the chamber.

Other panelists include Greater Lawrence Technical High School Superintendent-Director John Lavoie, Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Manager of Strategic Business Development James Carnevale and New England Die Cutting Sealing Solutions President Kim Abare.

The conference, including a 7:30 a.m. breakfast buffet and 8 a.m. speaking program, costs $25.
