Police Charge Newmarket, N.H., Man with Drug Dealing

A New Hampshire man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on drug dealing charges in connection with an investigation Tuesday by Haverhill police.

William Bates, 26, of Newmarket, N.H., was arrested at 1:07 p.m., Tuesday, on Interstate 495 southbound at exit 48, the Ward Hill connector interchange. He was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

In other police news, two men were taken into custody Tuesday on unspecified warrants during separate arrests.

Haverhill police report Michael Sanchez, 35, of 15 Webster St., Haverhill, was arrested at 1:31 p.m., Tuesday, at 22 Ringgold St. on one warrant. Also, David Torres, 45, of Dorchester, was arrested on more than one warrant at 1:53 p.m., at 89 Newark St.
