Teenager Faces Charges of Motor Vehicle Vandalism

A Haverhill teenager, accused of motor vehicle vandalism, was arrested by Haverhill police Monday evening.

According to police, the 17-year old male was taken into custody at 7:06 p.m., Monday, at his home and charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle. His identity is being withheld due to his age. The teen is due to appear at a juvenile court session at Lawrence District Court.

In other police news, police were cracking down on traffic violators in one section of the city Sunday ahead of today’s opening day for public school students in Haverhill. According to Haverhill police logs, 30 traffic stops were conducted between late morning and mid-afternoon Sunday in the Main Street area between the junction of Interstate 495 and North Avenue.
