‘Reason for Hope’ Summit Features Serenity at Summit CEO

A public forum in Methuen about “the latest gains in substance abuse prevention and ongoing community outreach to addicts and their loved ones” will include a panelist from a detox and residential facility in Haverhill.

The Merrimack Valley Prevention and Substance Abuse Project’s “Reasons For Hope” forum takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at Methuen Senior Center, 77 Lowell St., Methuen. According to a flyer, Jim Kane, chief executive officer, Serenity at Summit New England, Haverhill, will participate as a panelist at the forum with state Rep. Diana DiZoglio of Methuen and Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon, among others.

Serenity at Summit, operated by Summit Behavioral Health, “treats all stages of the recovery process from initial detox and residential treatment to ongoing outpatient support and counseling,” according to information posted at the website carerbuilder.com. “We treat every type of substance addiction, for any type of person, at any stage of recovery.
