Pham to Address Merrimack Valley Chamber Expo. Sept. 16

A Baker administration business development official will be the featured speaker at a VIP luncheon during the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Fall Back to Business Expo., Trade Show, Job, Health and Wellness Fair.”

Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development Assistant Secretary of Business Development Nam Pham will attend the luncheon, being held from noon until 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Andover Country Club, 60 Canterbury St., Andover. Tickets are $28 for chamber members or $50 for non-members.

Admission to the expo event, to be held from 10 a.m until 3:30 p.m., is free to the public. A post-expo business networking mixer for exhibitors will also be held.

Pham oversees the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, Office of Travel and Tourism, Film Office and Office of International Trade and Investment. Previously he was the CEO of Vietnamese American Initiative for Development (VietAID). He has been a commercial banker for more than 20 years in both lending and credit for community banks and large commercial banks. From 1994 to 2000, Pham served as commissioner of Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, and deputy director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment.

He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
