Agnes C. (Hanagan) Kinser, 76, Former Telephone Operator

kinserAgnes C. (Hanagan) Kinser, 76, of the Bradford section of Haverhill passed away Monday, Aug. 24, at her home surrounded by family.

Born in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Helen T. (Vincent) Hanagan. Raised in Bradford, she was a graduate of Sacred Hearts Grammar School and St. James High School, class of 1957. She was a woman of strong faith and an active member of Sacred Hearts Parish.

Kinser was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone Company and retired from AT&T in 1998. She loved to watch her favorite games hows while enjoying her chocolates and  ice cream. She was an animal lover and especially loved her cats.

Surviving her are her children, William K. Kinser and Jean Jordan of Salisbury, Teresa Marie Kinser of Haverhill, Steven L. Kinser of Haverhill, Brian J. Kinser and his wife Susan M. (Beauregard) of Haverhill, Michael J. Kinser of Ward Hill; seven grandchildren, Billy Kinser Jr., Melissa Kinser, Jason Kinser, Justine Kinser, Adam Kinser, Matthew Kinser and Joseph Kinser; great grandchild Cameran Webster; siblings, Alice Durgin and her husband Robert of Bradford; Mary Moseby of Bristow, Ind.; and John P. “Jay” Hanagan and his wife Pearl of Bradford. She was predeceased by her Aunt Claire Vincent.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, Aug. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral mass will be celebrated riday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m., in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St., Bradford. Burial  follows in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Sacred Hearts Parish, 31 South Chestnut Street, Bradford, MA 01835.
