The documentary, “Woolworth’s: Remembering Haverhill’s Shopping District,” premieres early in September at Buttonwoods Museum.

The video, produced by Historic New England, Buttonwoods Museum, Haverhill Community Television and Haverhill Public Library’s Special Collections division, features historic images and interviews with Haverhill residents “who remember what it was like to work, shop and play downtown during the mid-twentieth century.”

“Discover the story of Haverhill’s iconic Woolworth’s building, a reminder of a time when downtown Haverhill was a bustling retail hub,” reads a flyer.

The free premiere takes place from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St. For more information, call (617) 994-5970 or visit HistoricNewEngland.org.
