Police Charge Juveniles with Bradford Vehicle Break-ins

Two high school students were charged with with several vehicle break-ins early Sunday morning in the Bradford section of the city.

Two 16-year old males were arrested at 2:11 a.m., Sunday, on Bradford Avenue. One is charged with three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle while the other faces two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Each is also charged with attempt to commit a crime. Their identities are being withheld due to their age.

Both are due to be arraigned on the charges in a juvenile court session at Lawrence District Court.

In other police news, a New Hampshire woman is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on drug and shoplifting charges after her arrest Friday night at Westgate shopping plaza, 400 Lowell Ave. Haverhill police report Crystal Bird, 31, of Rochester, N.H., was arrested at 9:46 p.m., Friday, on charges of shoplifting merchandise $100 or greater in value and possession of a class A drug.

A Haverhill man faces a drug dealing charge in court after his arrest by police Sunday on an outstanding warrant. According to Haverhill police, Giovanni Ruiz, 28, of 40 Nichols St., apartment 2, Haverhill, was taken into custody at 12:15 p.m., Sunday, at 73 White St. Under the warrant, he was charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute.

A Haverhill woman is due to face a drunk driving charge in Haverhill District Court following her arrest by Haverhill police Friday night. Haverhill police report Gayle Atherton, 55, of 8 Powdermill Road, Haverhill, was arrested at 8:25 p.m., Friday, on Batchelder Court. She was charged with a single count of driving under the influence of liquor.

A Haverhill man was, arrested in connection with a disturbance early Saturday in the Washington Street Historic District, is facing a repeat charge of disorderly conduct. Haverhill police report Richard Webster, 35, of 15 Lincoln St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 2 a.m., Saturday, at 103 Washington St.

Denise Grullon, 29, 85 Prospect St., Worcester, was charged with a restraining order violation, at 365 River St., 3:54 a.m., Sunday.
