Haverhill Man Faces Drug Trafficking Charge

A Haverhill man, accused of drug trafficking, is due to be arraigned in district court following his arrest by Haverhilll police detectives during a traffic stop Tuesday night.

Juan Rojas, 31, of 24 Casablanca Court, Haverhill, was arrested at 9:19 p.m., Tuesday, at the intersection of Carleton Street and Lowell Avenue. He was charged with trafficking a class B drug and failure to stop.

In other police news:

A Haverhill man, arrested in connection with an investigation by Haverhill police, is facing charges of threatening and violating a police order. Police report Reese Quickley, 19, of 78 South Elm St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:54 p.m., Tuesday, at home. He is due to be arraigned on the charges in Haverhill District Court.

Three Haverhill men were also arrested separately on unrelated police warrants. They are due in court to face various charges.

Haverhill police report Thomas Boivin, 35, of 18 ½ Seventh Ave., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 10:38 p.m., Tuesday, at home on a warrant charging him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Earlier, at 6:48 p.m., Tuesday, Michael A. Rivera, 21, of 4 High St., Haverhill, was arrested at home on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct, failure to stop and failure to carry a license in possession.

Also, John Vancopponolle, 26, of 51 Myrtle St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 6:39 p.m., Tuesday, at 17 Arch Ave. on a warrant charging him with possession of burglarious tools.
