Men Face Multiple Charges After Alleged Hit and Run Accident

Two Haverhill men are due to be arraigned in district court on motor vehicle and other charges following their arrests Monday during an alleged hit and run crash investigation.

According to Haverhill police, Christopher Foulkes, 23 and Michael Fazio, 50, both of 26 Front St., Haverhill, were arrested at 1 p.m., Monday, at 71 North Broadway and 11 Broadway respectively. Foulkes was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage over $250, driving with a suspended license, negligent operation and wanton damage over $250. Fazio was taken into custody on five outstanding warrants for receiving stolen property, failure to provide DNA and unspecified motor vehicle violations.

In other police news, a Haverhill man arrested by police Monday night on a charge of driving without a license is due to be arraigned in court. Haverhill police report Jose Mercado,29, of 20 ½ Eighth Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:07 p.m., Monday, at 73 Plaistow Road.
