The Haverhill City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing Tuesday on revised plans for a 12-unit condominium development at a former auto repair shop off route 125 in Ward Hill.
The special permit request by developer Robert Ahern for RKACO LLC, Tewksbury, to construct a three-building development at 2 Cross Road, has been postponed at four previous council meetings. It has conditional favorable recommendations from the planning board and Economic Development and Planning Director William Pillsbury Jr.
According to council documents, the latest revisions to the proposal include reducing the total units from 13 to 12, increasing resident and guest parking to 29 spaces with access by a single driveway from Cross Road, creating emergency fire access from Bradstreet Avenue and making traffic safety improvements at the Cross and Boston Roads. Water supply and stormwater system improvements, including looping water lines and a central fire hydrant, address concerns from the water maintenance department.
“With these changes the new plan is acceptable to the City of Haverhill Water Maintenance Division,” said Glenn F. Smith, water maintenance supervisor, Water-Wastewater division.
The Haverhill City Council meets at 7 p.m., in room 202, at Haverhill City Hall.
