Haverhill Police Charge 19-Year-Old Lawrence Man with Heroin Trafficking

A Lawrence man, accused by Haverhill police of trafficking heroin, is due to be arraigned in district court after his arrest Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, Frayluis Cayetano, 19, of Lawrence, was arrested at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Westgate Plaza, 400 Lowell Ave. In addition to trafficking heroin, he was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and resisting arrest. He was transported to Middleton jail, where he was being held pending court arraignment.

In other police news, a Lynn man was also being held in Middleton jail pending court arraignment after his arrest by Haverhill police Wednesday on a warrant charging him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Haverhill police report John B. Knowles, 48, of Lynn, was taken into custody at 3:35 p.m., Wednesday, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, 140 Lincoln Ave.

A Haverhill woman was to be arraigned in district court Wednesday on theft and assault charges after an early morning arrest by Haverhill police on two outstanding warrants. According to police, Amanda K. Gibson, 25, of 134 High St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, at home. Under the warrants, she was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, larceny over $250 and uttering.
