Groups Seek One-Day Beer and Wine Licenses for Events

Four celebratory and fundraising events appear before the Haverhill License Commission Thursday for one-day alcohol licenses.

Team Haverhill, Buttonwoods Museum, Tattersall Farm and Haverhill’s 375th Anniversary Committee are seeking one-day beer and wine licenses when the commission meets at 6 p.m., Thursday, in city hall.

Team Haverhill proposes to sell alcohol during River Ruckus, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., in the parking lot behind the Tap Restaurant, Washington Street. Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., seeks a license for an exhibit opening Sept. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. Ernest DiBurro, chairman of Haverhill’s 375th Anniversary Committee, is also expected to request permission to sell alcohol Sept. 13, from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sept. 13, while Tattersall Farm plans its annual farm day Sept. 20, from noon to 5 p.m., at 542 North Broadway.
