The Buttonwoods Museum will focus on the Merrimack River when its “History for Half Pints” program continues next week.

“The Merry Merrimack” is the theme for the program Tuesday, Aug 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The Buttonwoods Museum is located at 240 Water St.

“The Merrimack River is made more colorful when Half-Pints make their own maps. Children learn all about life on the river and conduct experiments to see what will sink or float,” the museum said in a statement. History for Half Pints is geared to children ages two through six and their caregivers. The cost is $5, or $4 for Buttonwoods members.

Spaces are limited and registration is required. To register, email [email protected].
