Evelyn D. (Green) Sullivan, 86, passed away July 17, at Lawrence General Hospital. She was the wife of the late James M. Sullivan.

Born in Haverhill April 28, 1929, Sullivan was the daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy (Haigh) Green.

Educated in Haverhill, she graduated from Haverhill High School, class of1947. Early in her career she worked at the former Western Electric, and then was able to remain home to raise her family. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren, sewing, playing bingo with friends at varied locations in Haverhill and taking trips to Foxwoods. She enjoyed spending time in her yard feeding the birds and squirrels.

Sullivan is survived by her children, Michael J. Sullivan of Haverhill, Leslie A. Brown and husband Allan of Haverhill, Gary W. Sullivan of Haverhill, and Timothy P. Sullivan of Haverhill; grandchildren, Paul J. Paquette and wife Jessica of Haverhill, Tanya King and husband Rob of Haverhill, Tiffany Sullivan of Peabody, and Timothy P. Sullivan Jr. of Chelsea; great grandchildren, Ava Jane Paquette, Luke Paquette, Timothy P. Sullivan III; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George H. Green Jr., Emma Jordan and Shirley Walsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Wednesday, July 22, at 1 p.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St. Calling hours precede the funeral from 11 to 1 p.m. Interment follows at Greenwood Cemetery.
