Virginia Treloar Heusser, 98

Virginia Treloar Heusser, 98, died at Academy Manor, Andover, Wednesday July 15.

She was born Virginia May Treloar, May 7, 1917 in Derby, Conn., to Edward Treloar and Sarah Hession Treloar. After high school, she attended the Sisters of Mercy Saint Agnes Home, West Hartford, Conn., where she earned her certificate as an infant nurse. In 1960, she and her husband moved to Haverhill, where they became parishioners of the St. James Church, and Heusser became an active member of its Ladies Sodality.

She was the wife of the late Burton J. Heusser who died in 1998. They had been married for 58 years at the time of his death. She was the mother of: Burton E. Heusser and his wife Monika of Haverhill, Susan Girard and Jerry Kowaluk of Manchester, Conn., Sara and her husband Phillip Lanier of Chesapeake, Virg. and Arthur Heusser and his wife Joyce of Groton. She was the Oma and Grandma of Robert K. Heusser (Catherine), Renee S. Heusser, Sean D. Heusser (Kerry), Rebecca Dagneau (Jason), Patrick Rush (Jeanne), Mark Heusser (Jenny) and Craig Heusser, Shannon Hudson (Chris), Patrick Lanier. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren: Amanda Dagneau, Alexandria, Nathaniel, Sophia, Ainsley and McKenna Heusser, Savannah Lanier. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Cesario.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 23, at 10 a.m., in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will be in Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, N.H. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill & Bradford.
