Pearle M. (Fisher) Daskas, 95, Retired from Pentucket, Main St. Elementary School, Groveland

Pearle M. (Fisher) Daskas, 95, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, July 14, at Merrimack Valley Health Center, Amesbury.

She was born in Haverhill Oct. 11th, 1919, daughter of the late William and Iola (Huntoon) Fisher. Daskas received her education in the Haverhill public school system and attended Haverhill High School. She worked for Lomazzo’s Italian Kitchen, DiBurro’s Function Hall and the Triangle Restaurant. She ended her working career as food services manager within the Pentucket Regional School System and the former Main St. Elementary School in Groveland. She was an avid cook, baker and enjoyed making meals for her entire family.

She was predeceased by her husband George Daskas ,who passed away in 1981, and her brothers, Leonard, William and Vernon Fisher, and sisters, Ann Richardson and Priscilla Smith. Daskas is survived by children, Anthea Plaisted and husband Tom of Derry, N.H., Glenda Hume and husband James of Merrimac; grandchildren, Melinda Carey and husband Patrick, Maureen Colby and husband Ron, Pam Plaisted and significant other Marc Barry, Julianna Plaisted, Susan Plaisted and significant other Barry Riley, Elizabeth Kasser and husband John, Jeffrey Hume and wife Deirdre; great-grandchildren Nicole Carey, Lyle Thomas Carey, Samantha Johnson, Amanda and Jared Barry, Elizabeth Kasser, Declan Hume and Gavin Hume; great-great grandchildren Adriana Carey and Kailyn Johnson; and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service July 21, at 10 a.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. A period of visitation will precede the memorial service from 9 to 10. Burial will be private. Contributions in her name may be made to the resident’s activity fund, Salisbury Assisted Living Center, 19 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952.
