Chayanne Anthony Rivera, 24, of Haverhill, passed away July 16. He was the son of Carmen Ivette (Rivera) Laboy and the step son of Tito Laboy. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised and educated in Haverhill.
Rivera was a gifted artist. His passion was comic books, especially the comic book Dead Pool with Wade Wilson and he created many of his own comic books. He loved to paint and he painted his entire room in a comic book theme. He also worked at local restaurants.
In addition to his mother Carmen and step father Tito, Rivera leaves behind four siblings, Edna Rivera, Taisha Rivera, Natalia Curet and Brandan Laboy; uncles Jose Rivera of Missouri, Carlos Rivera and his wife Darlene of Virg., Omar Infante and his wife Anna of N.Y., Joshua Infante and his wife Erin of N.Y. and Omayra Acosta and her husband, Noel of Conn., Abel Vasquez, of Fla., Tony Vasquez, of Mich., and Johnny Vasquez, of Germany; grandmothers Edna Rivera of Conn., and Anna Rivera, of Ohio; and nieces, nephews and several cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Tuesday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:30.
