Police Allege Downtown Resident Ran Heroin Trafficking Operation

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on heroin trafficking and other drug-related charges after his arrest Monday by Haverhill police.

According to police, Ivan Silvestre, 25, of 80 Wingate St., Unit 317, Haverhilll, was arrested by detectives at 5:50 p.m., Monday, at 213 River St. He was charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, a drug violation near a park and driving a motor vehicle without a license.

In other police news, a Haverhill man faces unspecified charges after his arrest Monday on a warrant from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). According to Haverhill police, Hakeem Hinton-Fultz, 30, of 12 Grand Ave., unit 2, Haverhill, was taken into custody at 9:45 a.m., Monday, at home. Specific charges were not listed and no further details were released by police or the office of U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz.

Also, a Haverhill man was arrested late Monday night on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. Haverhill police report Nate Levine, 54, of 81 Warren St., unit 417, Haverhill, was arrested at 11:20 p.m., Monday, at home.

Michael Donnelly, 39, 10 Primrose Way, Haverhill, was arrested at 4:01 p.m., at 45 Ginty Boulevard, on a warrant, charging him with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
