John A. Eason, 53, Self-Employed Contractor

John A. Eason, 53, of Groveland, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, July 12, at his home.

He was born in Haverhill Nov. 13, 1961, the son of Marie (Gillis) Eason O’Donnell and the late David W. Eason. He was educated in  Haverhill public schools and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1979. He was a self-employed contractor for many years. In his free time, Eason enjoyed his family, his princess Mackenzie, his wife’s cooking and to be home. He also loved to visit with his in-laws and his mother. He enjoyed fishing on the river and hunting as well as being with friends. He loved to sing karaoke, play polish horse shoes and played pool in a league.

He was predeceased by his daughter Jessica Kathleen. Eason is survived by his wife, Michelle (Desmarais) Eason and his Princess Mackenzie L Eason of Groveland; his mother, Marie O’ Donnell; children, Patrick Eason and his wife Kristine of Plaistow N.H., John Grasso and his wife Jessica of Amesbury, and Justin Grasso of Rye N.H.; siblings, Glen Eason, Donna Spinney and Linda Eason; two grandchildren, Emma and Charles Eason; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles , cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Saturday, July 18, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. His memorial service will follow the calling hours at 6 at the funeral home.
