William ‘Bill’ H. Stevenson, 95, Former Driver for Teamsters 437

William “Bill” H. Stevenson, 95, of Bradford, passed away Saturday evening, July 11, at the Wingate at Haverhill.

He was born in Haverhill Dec. 3, 1919, the son of the late William and Rose (Farrell) Stevenson. Stevenson was educated in the Haverhill school system and was a truck driver for Local Teamsters 437. He also worked at F.J Cappolla and Hub Transportation. In his younger years he was also employed as a local taxi driver in Haverhill. He was a parishioner at Sacred Hearts Church. Stevenson lived in Coco Beach Florida for several years and was very handy. He would repair most anything he would find to be broken. He enjoyed his morning coffee with friends at Building 19.

He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis E. (Cheney) Stevenson, who passed away in 2004, and his son Robert and his wife Joanne Stevenson. He is survived by his daughter, Rosanne C. Minondo of Plaistow N.H.; three grandchildren, Robert L Stevenson Jr., Arthur Stevenson and Robin Hobbins, all of California; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home 106 Summer St., Haverhill. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 17, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Hearts Church in Bradford. Interment follows in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
