Three Haverhill Motorists Face Charges of Impaired Driving

Three Haverhill motorists are due to be arraigned in district court on drunk or impaired driving charges stemming from separate arrests by police Saturday.

Haverhill police report Sorin C. Sabav, 31, of 208 Kenoza St., Haverhill, was arrested at 2 a.m., Saturday, at 100 Water St. He was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of an accident, driving after license suspension and giving a false name to police.

Saturday evening, Barbara O’Neill, 61, of 56 North Broadway, Haverhill, was arrested by Haverhill police at 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Monument Street. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Also, Kane M. Debreceni, 19, of 54 Margin St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:43 p.m., Saturday, at Academy Plaza, South Main Street. He was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and possession of an unspecified controlled drug with intent to distribute.

In other police news, a Haverhill teenager is among two local people facing unlicensed driving charges in connection with separate traffic stops over the weekend.

According to Haverhill police, a 15-year old female juvenile from Haverhill was arrested at 4:20 a.m., Saturday, on the Basiliere Bridge, Bridge Street. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, use of motor vehicle without authority and giving a false name to police. She will be arraigned in a juvenile court session at Lawrence District Court.

Also, at 2:07 a.m., Friday, Luis Colon, 37, of 3 Chick Ave., apartment 1, Haverhill, was arrested during a traffic stop at 121 Broadway. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, speeding and not carrying a license in possession. A passenger, Lahis Jimenez, 33, of Salem, N.H., was also taken into custody on an unspecified outstanding warrant.
