Haverhill Woman Faces Malicious Property Damage Charge

A Haverhill woman is due to face a vandalism charge in district court following her arrest Wednesday afternoon stemming from a disturbance.

According to Haverhill police, Barbara Leavitt, 51, of 12 Windsor St., Haverhill, was arrested at 3:05 p.m., Wednesday, on Windsor St. She was charged with a single count of malicious damage of property.

In other police news, a Haverhill man accused of stealing drugs is due to be arraigned in district court following his arrest by police Wednesday on a warrant.

Haverhill police report Scott L. Schrempf, 35, listed as homeless, was arrested at 1:10 p.m., Wednesday, at 1 Water St. Under a warrant, he is charged with larceny from a building and larceny of drugs.

Two people, arrested Wednesday on outstanding warrants, face unrelated charges, including larceny, as they are due to be arraigned in court.

Haverhill police report Duane Bonnell, 40, of 62 Washington St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:36 p.m., Wednesday, at home. Under a warrant, he is charged with larceny over $250.

Earlier, at 1:40 p.m., Stella Cleghorn, 33, of 14 Laurier St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at home on a warrant charging her with being a fugitive from justice.
