Creative Haverhill Plans Summer Movies Downtown by the River

Creative Haverhill, an arm of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, is hosting an outdoor summer movie series Thursdays this summer in downtown Haverhill.

Movies are shown every Thursday at dusk starting July 9 and ending Aug. 27 in the parking lot next to Haverhill Bank on Merrimack Street. Admission is free, but the group is looking for sponsors to contribute toward costs, volunteer groups to pick up trash and welcome attendees and volunteers to help publicize the series.

All films are rated PG or G and include, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, July 9; E.T., July 16; Big Hero 6, July 23; Annie (2014), July 30; Mary Poppins, Aug. 6; Hook, Aug. 13; Paddington, Aug. 20; and the Goonies, Aug. 27.
