William Garlington, 80, Korean War Veteran

William Garlington, 80, of Haverhill, passed away Monday June 29, surrounded by his family, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late William and Naomi (Hart) Garlington. Garlington was educated in the Atlanta school system and after graduating he served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged. He worked for many years at APEM Components in Haverhill as a silk screen printer and retired in 2003.

He is survived by his children, William C. Garlington and his wife Lisa of Holbrook; Laurie-Ann Garlington of London, England; Charles N. “Chuck” Garlington and his wife Samantha of Haverhill; and Matthew E. Garlington and his wife Samantha of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Trinton and Leah Garlington; Morgan and Jennah Garlington; and Neeyah, Ayla and Levi Garlington.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Thursday, July 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Universalist Unitarian Church,15 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill.
