A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on an assault charge in connection with a disturbance Tuesday night in the lower Acre section.
According to Haverhill police, Antonio Santos, 42, of 26 Vine St., Haverhill, was arrested at 10:54 p.m., Tuesday, at 11 Pentucket St. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
In other police news, two Haverhill men face vandalism-related charges in unrelated police investigations following their separate arrests Tuesday evening.
Haverhill police report Adrian Palermo, 24, of 5 Pearl Ann Drive, Haverhill, was arrested at 6:59 p.m., Tuesday, on Edward Court. He was charged with four counts of malicious destruction of a motor vehicle.
Later, at 9 p.m., police arrested Russell Colon, 20, of 28 Jackson St., Haverhill, at the intersection of Vine and Winter streets. He was charged with disorderly conduct, deface of property and resisting arrest.
