Louise J. (Lefebvre) Chaput, 84, of Haverhill, died Monday, June 29, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
She was born in Plaistow, N.H., Nov. 12, 1930, daughter of the late Leon and Genevieve (Parent) Lefebvre. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Chaput graduated from Haverhill High School. For a period of time she was employed in the local shoe industry, a waitress, delivered newspapers and was a school crossing guard. More recently she was employed as a CNA for Home Health VNA. She enjoyed collecting bells, artistic plates and ceramic dolls among other collectables. Chaput was a member of St. John The Baptist Church, Haverhill, AARP and was a past member of Rocks Village PTA. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, and going on cruises.
Her survivors include her husband of 64 years, Russell V.J. Chaput of Haverhill; two daughters, Dianne M. Parker of Raymond, N.H., and Linda J. Bartlett and her husband Robert of Haverhill; a sister, Joanne Hicks of Georgetown; daughter-in-law, Blanca Lugo and her family; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Chaput was also the mother of the late Russell W. Chaput, sister of the late Alice Nolin, Florence W. Allen, Doris Smith, Leon Lefebvre, Dianne Cheney, Pauline Chapdelaine and Doris Smith and Gerard Lefebvre.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Thursday, July 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service will be held Friday morning, July 3, at 11 in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
