E. Marion (Greenleaf) Goodwin, 97, Former Western Electric Worker

E. Marion (Greenleaf) Goodwin, 97, formerly of Haverhill, Georgetown, Freedom and Amesbury, died Thursday, June 25, at Country Center for Health, Newburyport.

She was born in Georgetown, May 8, 1918, daughter of the late Rosswell and Mattie (Brown) Greenleaf. Educated in the Georgetown school system, Goodwin graduated from Georgetown High School, class of 1936, where she was class treasurer. She was employed at Western Electric, from where she retired in 1976. While there she was a member of the board of directors for the Pioneer Workers of America. Goodwin was a professional candlepin bowler, representing both Academy and Pilgrim Lanes and competed in numerous tournaments throughout the area. Goodwin enjoyed hunting, skiing, fishing and traveling with her late husband, Don.

She was the wife of the late Roland D. “Don” Goodwin and sister of the late Arthur Greenleaf. Her survivors include seven nieces and nephews and fourteen great nieces and nephews.

Her family will be receiving relatives and friends Thursday, July 2, from noon to 1 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
