Court Tells Man, Charged with Lewdness, to Stay Out of City

A Methuen man was arraigned Wednesday on lewdness charges in Haverhill District Court.

Matthew Homan, 33, of Methuen, was held on $10,000 bail, ordered to have no contact with anyone under 18 and stay out of Haverhill.  He must return to court July 21 for a probable cause hearing.

According to police,  Homan was arrested at 8:20 a.m., Wednesday, at the intersection of Lawrence and Sheridan Streets. He was charged with two counts of open and gross lewdness in connection with a disturbance Wednesday morning.

Police said this is not Homan’s first offense. Assistant District Attorney Thomas O. Sholds is prosecuting the case.
