Police Arrest Homeless Man on Theft-Related Charges

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on theft-related charges after his arrest by police late Wednesday night on an outstanding warrant.

According to Haverhill police, Patrick Fitzgerald, 35, listed as homeless, was arrested at midnight, Wednesday, on Boardman Street. Under a warrant, he is charged with larceny over $250 and destruction of property.

In other police news, a Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in district court on an assault charge after her arrest by Haverhill police on a warrant. According to police, Katelyn Zangari, 24, of 113 White St., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 6:33 p.m., Wednesday, at home. Under the warrant, she is charged with assault with intent to rob.

Two Haverhill men arrested and charged by police Wednesday with drinking in public are due to appear in Haverhill District Court. Haverhill police report Donald R. Brown, 37, of 127 How St., Haverhill and Robert Zangari, 49, of 347 Primrose St., Haverhill, were both arrested at 1:38 p.m., Wednesday, at GAR Park.

A Haverhill man faces repeat unlicensed driving charges after his arrest early Wednesday morning during a traffic stop. Haverhill police report Shane Begin, 36, of 73 Sixth Ave., Haverhill, was arrested at 4:23 a.m.,Wednesday, on the Comeau Bridge. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and failure to stop or yield.
