Amesbury Man Faces Charges of Repeat Impaired Driving

An Amesbury man is due to face repeat impaired driving charges in Haverhill District Court following his arrest by police during a traffic stop late Tuesday night.

According to Haverhill police, Thomas Welch, 51, of Amesbury, was arrested at 11 p.m., Tuesday, at 40 Kenoza Ave. He was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence (second offense) and speeding.

In other police news, a Haverhill man accused of repeat unlicensed driving is due in court after his arrest Tuesday night. Haverhill police report Brian Barry, 46, of 40 Howard St., unit 2, Haverhill, was arrested at 9:16 p.m., Tuesday, at the intersection of Harrison and Winter streets. He was charged with driving a motor vehicle with a revoked license (subsequent offense).

Two Haverhill men face charges including drug possession following separate arrests on outstanding warrants.

According to Haverhill police, Steven Denesowicz, 40, of 440 North Ave., building 1, unit 8, Haverhill, was taken into custody at 5:03 p.m., Tuesday, on Rosemont Street. Under a warrant, he is charged with abandoning a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was additionally charged with possession of a class E drug.

Also, Joshua P. Pacheco, 31, of 16 Eighth Ave., Haverhill, was taken into custody at 8:47 a.m., Tuesday, at Haverhill District Court, 45 Ginty Boulevard. Under a warrant, he was charged with possession of a class A drug.
