William J. Abrams, 55, Former U. S. Navy Electronics Technician

William J. Abrams, 55, of Manchester, N.H., formerly of Haverhill, passed away June 15 at the Manchester Veterans Administration Hospital, Manchester, N.H.

He was born in Haverhill to Ellis W. and Claire M. (Deveau) Abrams of Hampstead, N.H. He attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1978. He then attended Hesser College in N.H. After graduating he served his country in the United States Navy as an electronics technician and was honorably discharged. Abrams worked at Pat’s Beef House as a prep cook and also as a maintenance technician at the BB Rubber Company, Nashua, N.H. He was a collector of model trains and model cars. He loved spending time at Hampton Beach and Big Island Pond in Hampstead, N.H.

In addition to his parents, Abrams leaves his longtime girlfriend, Barbara Fuller of Derry, N.H.; three sisters, Maryetta Sciuto and her husband Michael of Makawao, Hawaii; Diana Elsemiller and her husband Daniel of Haverhill; and Cynthia Amidon and her husband George of Wilmington; two nephews, Daniel J. Elsemiller and his wife Tara and Michael Sciuto; and a niece, Rachel Sciuto; a great nephew, Aiden Elsemiller.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 11, at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A memorial service will immediately follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 892 Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill.
