Man Faces Drug Dealing Charge in District Court

A Haverhill man accused of repeat drug dealing is due to be arraigned in district court following his arrest by police detectives Wednesday night.

According to Haverhill police, Francisco M. Gomez, 49, of 37 Cedar St., Haverhill, was arrested at 9:54 p.m., Wednesday, at his home. He was charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute (subsequent offense).

In other police news, two local men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with a police investigation into alleged public drinking on Locust Street. Haverhill police report Albert Pepin, 60, of 87 Shattuck St., Haverhill and Johnny Morany, 52, address unknown, are each charged with a single count of drinking in public. The arrests occurred at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at 100 Locust St.

A Haverhill man is accused breaking into and stealing from inside a motor vehicle. According to Haverhill police, Joseph L. Fowler, 27, of 94 Portland St., Haverhill, was arrested at about 5 a.m., Wednedsday, on Edwards Street. He was charged with a single count of breaking and entering larceny from a motor vehicle.

Also, an Amesbury woman faces an assault and battery charge from Haverhill police in connection with an investigation into a domestic incident. According to police, Eileen Fleming, 38, of Amesbury, was arrested at 9:23 a.m., Wednesday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard.
