State Rep. Diana DiZoglio and Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley Inc. are having a foster kids awareness event at the Massachusetts State House next Wednesday.
DiZoglio, a Methuen Democrat who also represents a small portion of Haverhill, recently sponsored a resolution recognizing the nearly 10,000 foster children who currently reside in Massachusetts. She will present the resolution during the event. Among the co-sponsors is Rep. Linda Dean Campbell, another Methuen Democrate who also represents a slice of Haverhill at the Methuen line.
The program, scheduled to run from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m., June 24, at the State House’s Grand Staircase, is free and open to the public.
