Amy K. (Chiefari) Ryan, 40, Home Health VNA Nurse

Amy K. (Chiefari) Ryan, 40, of Haverhill ,formerly of New York, passed away Wednesday June 10, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Boston, surrounded by family.

Born in Albany N.Y., she was raised in Troy, N.Y. where she attended Tamarac Public Schools and was a graduate of Britton Kill High School class of 1993. She continued her education and received her nursing degree from Siena College in Latham, N.Y. Ryan was a registered nurse and was employed for the Home Health VNA for the past four years. Previously she was employed with All Care VNA.

She was a gifted musician and pianist. She loved all kinds of music and was also a singer. She enjoyed working in her yard and was a talented decorator.

She was predeceased by her husband Matthew J. Ryan, who passed in October, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Luke J. Ryan and Jacob “Jake” Ryan of Haverhill; her parents, James F. and Janet D. (Wood) Chiefari, of Cropseyville, N.Y.; two brothers, Phillip J. Chiefari and his wife Amy of Troy, N.Y., and Robert O. Chiefari and his wife Maria of Bellevelle, Ill.; mother-in-law, Donna M. (Dupont) Ryan, of Bradford; father-in-law, James E. Ryan and his wife, Rebecca, of Haverhill; sister-in-law, Maureen E. Early and her husband, William, of Bradford; nieces, Taylor R. Early, Sara M. Early, Sara I. Chiefari, and Katie R. Chiefari; and several extended family members, friends and co-workers.

Visiting hours were Sunday from the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services took place Monday morning. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Amy’s memory to the Ryan Children’s Fund, C/O Pentucket Bank, 1 Merrimack Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
