Police Arrest White Street Woman on Credit Card Theft Charges

Cleaning up court warrants, Haverhill police arrested a White Street woman Thursday on various counts of possessing a stolen credit card, credit fraud and larceny under $250.

Zaira Luz, 28, 40 White St., was taken into custody at 8:40 p.m., Thursday, on Winter Street. The woman, listed as unemployed, was charged with four counts each of credit fraud and larceny under $250 and having a stolen credit card.

In a separate matter, police arrested Amanda Woodard, 29, 15 Hillside St., Haverhill, at her home on an unidentified ordinance violation and larceny over $250. Woodard, unemployed, was arrested at 6 p.m.

Police also arrested Noe Cortez-Villegas, 31, on charges of unlicensed driving and having an unregistered motor vehicle. The arrest took place at 5:43 a.m. at the intersection of Primrose Street and Downing Avenue.

  1. A year ago the mayor raised taxes by 2.5% and then ended the year with a budget surplus of $3,500,000.00 and he never gave it back to the taxpayers of Haverhill.

    Isn’t that fraud and larceny? Why hasn’t he been arrested???
