Drugs, Assault on Pregnant Woman Bring Police Responses

Two Haverhill residents are due to be arraigned in district court on drug dealing charges after their arrests by police detectives Wednesday evening.

According to Haverhill police, Moises Santana, 27 and Holli Soltish, 31, both of 475 Washington St., Haverhill, were arrested at 7:05 p.m., Wednesday. Santana is charged with distribution of a class A drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Soltish is charged with possession and distribution of a class D drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Meanwhile, two other Washington Street residents are accused of attacking a pregnant woman and getting into a confrontation with responding investigators during a disturbance Wednesday afternoon.

Haverhill police report Jolene Colon, 32 and Paul Quinonez, 40, both of 285 Washington St., Haverhill, were arrested at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday on Washington Street. Colon is charged with assault and battery on a pregnant female, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Quinonez is charged with obstructing a police investigation and assault and battery on a pregnant female. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging him with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with property damage, failure to stop and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Both Colon and Quinonez are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

In other police news, a man listed by Haverhill police as homeless was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with shoplifting. According to police, 31-year old Glen Miller was arrested at 1:20 p.m., Wednesday, on Winter Street.
