Man Faces Charges of Using Two-by-Four Board in Assault

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in district court on assault charges in connection with an alleged assault with a two-by-four board.

Thursday evening. Haverhill police report Paris Cormier, 29, 163 River St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:10 p.m., Thursday. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a “two-by-four” board), and three counts of assault and battery.

In other police reports, a Haverhill man will appear in court to answer to police charges relating to a disturbance Thursday afternoon. Haverhill police report John Singleton, 52, of 20 Sheridan St., unit 3, was arrested at 3:30 p.m., Thursday and was charged with three counts of intimidation of a witness.

Two people are due in court to face theft and drug-related charges following their arrests in connection with separate police investigations.

According to Haverhill police, Miguel Perez, 27, of 6 Warren St., Haverhill, was arrested at 7:43 p.m., Thursday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. Under an outstanding warrant, he was charged with distribution of a class B drug and with possession of stolen property.

Earlier Thursday, at 1:22 p.m., police arrested Magdal I. Sanchez, 33, of 142 River St., Haverhill, at 173 River St. She was charged with larceny over $250 and possession of classes B and E drugs.
