Haverhill Man Faces Child Rape Charge

A Haverhill man is facing various charges including rape of a child after being arrested by police Wednesday on three outstanding warrants.

According to Haverhill police, Byron B. Berry, 46, of 72 River St., unit 10, was taken into custody at 8:36 a.m., Wednesday. Under the warrants, he is charged with indecent assault and battery on a child, rape of a child, assault and battery, breaking and entering, larceny under $250 and operating a motor vehicle after license suspension. He was due to be arraigned on the charges at Haverhill District Court.

In other police news, a Haverhill teenager is due to appear in juvenile court on robbery and assault charges after she was arrested Wednesday on a warrant. Haverhill police report the 17-year old female student was taken into custody at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, at home. She is charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of armed assault and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her identity is being withheld due to her age.

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in court on a single count of assault and battery after being arrested at his home Wednesday afternoon. According to Haverhill police, David Donahue, 47, of 67 Temple St., was arrested at 1:07 p.m.
